Skomer Island, is an island located just off the Pembrokeshire coast more well known for it’s wildlife & prehistoric remains of houses & stones.  The most popular types of wildlife on the island are Manx Shearwater, Skomer Vole & of course the Puffin.  Regular boat trips run to Skomer Island from the mainland throughout April to October however they may be cancelled from time to time due to heavy winds.  A more popular place to visit when on the island is the Wick, a popular area for Puffins to build their burrows ready for producing their young.  Other animals of interest are Manx Shearwaters, Seals, Gillemots, Razorbills, Glow Worms along with a lot more to mention.

If you decide to visit one day, make sure you leave plenty of time to arrive at Lockley Lodge as queues begin very early in the morning so make sure you arrive in time to avoid disappointment!
